Clairton City Schools in Pennsylvania are gearing up to participate in a pilot tutoring program utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) technology to enhance reading proficiency among elementary students. The initiative comes in response to the alarming statistic that nearly 80% of elementary students in the Clairton City School District are not proficient in reading.
The program, facilitated by Literacy Pittsburgh, will involve tutors visiting the school to meet with students twice a week.
