An ag tech company set up by Purdue University’s DIAL Ventures has launched a new cloud-based landpartner CRM application for farmers. Oaken, the startup behind the platform, aims to help farmers manage their landpartner interactions, including contact management, contract management and payments. The platform provides a centralized location for farmers to manage all aspects of land rental, saving time and improving communication with land partners.
Farmers have previously had few options for managing these relationships, often relying on make-shift systems such as manual folders or spreadsheets. However, these systems introduce more work and often fail to keep track of the various activities involved in managing landpartner relationships. Oaken organizes growers’ data and documents to save time and allow them to focus more on maintaining communications and building strong relationships with their land partners.
Oaken aims to help farms stay on top of their landpartner relationships and build a growing data repository that can serve future generations. The platform is designed to streamline communication and ensure that no important events, payments or contracts are missed. Users receive up-to-date notifications about upcoming events, people they haven’t reached out to yet, contract renewals and payments. This frees up the farmers’ time and allows them to focus on getting more work done.
Oaken is working on providing seamless integration to existing accounting and farm management solutions, as well as developing a mobile app that will be available later in 2024. Farmers can find additional information and a free 30-day trial on the Oaken website. The company will also be present at the Commodity Classic in Houston from February 28 to March 2, where attendees can visit their booth to learn more.
This new digital tool is expected to be a critical solution for managing farm growth, generational knowledge transfer and building an organized process for meticulous record-keeping and frequent landlord communication. By simplifying landpartner relationships, Oaken aims to help farmers make the most of their resources and ensure the success of their operations.
