Accenture’s Technology Vision 2024 report states that human-centered technologies, like generative AI, are becoming more important in business and society, and have the potential to deliver a range of benefits if used fairly and responsibly. The report suggests that as technology becomes more human-like and intuitive to use, it will stimulate productivity and creativity, resulting in a new era of unprecedented potential. The report identifies four key trends in the adoption of “human by design” technologies: reshaping the relationship between humans and knowledge, creating ecosystems for AI, creating new value using spatial computing, and using innovative, embedded technologies for a better understanding of human behavior.
According to Accenture, generative AI has the potential to impact 44% of all working hours across industries, improving productivity across 900 different types of jobs, and creating $6 to $8 trillion in global economic value. Organizations that adopt “human by design” technologies early will redefine what it means to be an industry leader, the report states.
