In the pages of Fall of the House of X #1, Marvel confirms that the Fastball Special, a maneuver performed by Colossus and Wolverine, is the first instance of Mutant Technology. Mutant Technology, defined as the combination of multiple mutant powers to achieve otherwise unattainable results, is the foundation of nearly every piece of mutant infrastructure in the nation of Krakoa. The Fastball Special, first introduced in 1976’s X-Men #100, has been recreated by various heroes and has become a household name in the Marvel Universe.
