RamSoft recently introduced a new feature for its OmegaAI software on Microsoft Azure called “progressive loading,” which enables radiologists to efficiently load large imaging studies through a web browser. This technology allows the initial images to load almost instantly, with secondary images loading progressively in the background as the radiologist interacts with the study. For example, OmegaAI can deliver the first images of a 3,000-slice CT data set in one second or less over standard internet connectivity, without the need for a virtual private network (VPN). Additionally, the company conducted an internal validation study where images from a breast tomosynthesis test study were transferred from OmegaAI in the U.S. and manipulated by a radiologist in India within one second using the OmegaAI reader.
